Invinity Energy Systems in the United States
Proven Vanadium Flow Battery Storage for the U.S. Energy Transition
Built for the US Energy Market
The US grid is integrating record levels of solar and wind while confronting constraints, outages, and the need for multi‑hour flexibility. That’s where Invinity fits. Our vanadium flow batteries deliver unlimited cycling, zero fire risk, and 30+ year lifespans—a combination that aligns with US market realities from California resource adequacy and peak shifting to Texas C&I resilience and tariff management.
Why customers choose Invinity in the US:
- Long-term flexibility. Designed for 30+ years of heavy-duty operation, matching the lifespan of solar and wind assets, while offering unparalleled flexibility.
- Economics that endure. Lowest lifetime cost per MWh delivered with unlimited cycles and zero performance degradation enhancing the value of your investment even as tariffs evolve and markets change.
- Safety first. Our electrolyte is non‑flammable and our systems have zero risk of thermal runaway, easing siting, construction and community acceptance.
Manufacturing in the US
Invinity is moving ahead with its US manufacturing plans through a new MOU with a US partner. This gives us strong domestic production capacity and a regional supply chain for our VFBs. Using our partner’s California facilities, we’ll handle stack production, module assembly, and final system integration—close to current and future customer projects. With two dedicated stack lines planned, the site will be able to produce more than 1 GWh of Endurium batteries each year.
What this means for customers:
- U.S.-based electrolyte supply: We’re lining up a new North American supplier for key materials, with engineering for local electrolyte production expected to start in 2026. This strengthens supply security and lowers logistics costs.
- Better tax incentives: Our US manufacturing meets domestic content rules, helping projects qualify for enhanced ITCs and PTCs, improving overall project economics.
- Compliance with FEOC rules: The facility is expected to fully comply with FEOC rules, reducing regulatory risk and improving project bankability.
Overall, this means lower costs, stronger project confidence, and a scalable U.S. platform for long-duration energy storage.
Technology You Can Trust
Invinity delivers the world’s most advanced, most deployed, and most reliable vanadium flow batteries. Our products are engineered for predictable performance under continuous cycling, with no capacity fade from cycling, accurate SOC measurement, and sub‑second response for operational flexibility. We’ve built our technology on decades of electrochemistry know‑how and validated performance data.
Our current product lineup:
- Endurium™: Our next‑generation, modular VFB optimized for large‑scale, long‑duration projects; engineered to scale from 3 to 100+ MW and operate 4–18+ hours without cycle limits.
- Endurium Enterprise™: Tailored for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers needing 1-20 MW, delivering safe, economical renewables integration and tariff optimization with long‑duration flexibility.
Furthermore, independent verification of our product specifications from DNV, combined with a full suite of US certifications and standards gives you the confidence to choose Endurium for your project, over less proven, less bankable alternatives.
Proven Customer Track Record
Don’t just take our word for it. Invinity’s systems have been deployed at almost 100 sites across 17+ countries, with years of operational data and continuous, high‑throughput performance in commercial environments. We’ve delivered the world’s most proven flow batteries at scale, and we’re applying that experience here in the US. Our solutions have discharged over 8 GWh in the field, demonstrating reliable, repeatable performance over time.
Some of our U.S. customers:
- Orcas Power & Light (OPALCO): The non-profit cooperative utility in Washington is using Invinity’s VFBs in an innovative solar plus storage microgrid project.
- Viejas Casino Resort Microgrid: Invinity delivered a 10 MWh VFB, the largest of its type in the US, as part of a large CEC-funded microgrid project providing 24/7 energy security for the Viejas Tribe of Kumeyaay Indians in California.
- IBEW Detroit: Invinity VFBs at IBEW Local 58 in Detroit are powering a solar‑plus‑storage project that delivers carbon neutrality, energy savings, resilience, and workforce training.
- Pacific Northwest National Labs: PNNL is deploying an Endurium vanadium flow battery for up to 24 hours of peak discharge on its own campus in Richland, WA.
- Soboba Fire Station: This long-duration energy storage facility ensures that excess power generated during daylight hours can be utilized “on-demand” when required, day or night providing energy security for this critical facility.
