In September 2025, Invinity was pleased to announce the establishment of a relationship with its new strategic partner, Atri Energy Transition Limited (“Atri Energy”) that opens up the Indian market to Invinity for the first time in our history.

India is currently witnessing significant clean energy growth and, alongside China, is forecast to drive 60% of the world’s increase in electricity consumption over 2025 and 2026. This growth means that energy storage projects are rapidly growing in both number and scale as more and more clean energy is deployed in the region. In particular, the vanadium flow battery market energy storage subsector is considered to be one of the fastest growing with a forecast compound annual growth rate of approximately 18% out to 2030.

Invinity and Atri Energy have together identified that our Endurium technology is an effective high-performance energy storage product that is highly suitable for projects in India. Partnering with Atri Energy to expand our commercial operations in India means that energy project developers will benefit from much enhanced local representation and support.

Invinity batteries are ideally suited for customers and projects that need proven, reliable, safe and cost-effective energy storage from between 3 to 18 hours for over 30 years or more. These projects include standalone, utility-scale battery storage projects that are designed to support renewable generation at national or local grid-level; large energy users such as factories, warehouses, data centres, and hospitals where power stability is vital to prevent challenges to operations or profitability; and microgrids that have an increasingly urgent need to address issues such as undersized, unreliable or non-existent grid connections.

Alongside Atri Energy, Invinity will establish in-country manufacturing in India that will greatly increase our production capacity, our speed of deployment and boost our supply chain. This means Indian project developers will benefit from regional manufacturing, engineering and support for their for utility-scale, industrial and microgrid projects both in India and the wider APAC region.

India is deploying wind and solar generation rapidly, recently becoming the third largest solar energy producer and fourth largest wind producer in the world according to the International Renewable Energy Agency. This growth is driving India’s need for 411 GWh of energy storage by 2032.

Whether it be for front-of-meter or behind-the-meter, energy storage is increasingly the cornerstone of all energy infrastructure. Invinity stands ready to support customers across the wider India and APAC region with its Endurium VFB product – contact us today to learn more.
