Podcast / BBC Rare Earth Features Invinity VFBs at Soboba Fire Station

In the BBC Rare Earth’s “World on Fire” podcast, analysing the rise of global wildfires, journalists Tom Heap and Helen Czerski take a look at how indigenous knowledge is being applied to wild fire prevention in California, particularly highlighting how the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians are using Invinity’s vanadium flow batteries to keep the lights on in their Fire Station in the event of a blackout.

In the episode (listen from 27.17) Invinity’s Chief Commercial Officer, Matt Harper explains how the 0.5 MWh Invinity VS3 system not only helps to offset their energy bills but also provide long duration backup power in the event of a wildfire so that the Fire Station can be a safe haven for the local community.
