Commissioned in 2015, the La Plana hybrid plant is designed to explore the potential of hybrid energy generation to show the possibility of 24/7 renewable power. The hybrid plant combines 850 kW of wind power and 245 kW of solar photovoltaic panels and is currently situated alongside diesel generators and a lithium battery.
Invinity’s ENDURIUM battery, providing 300 kW of power and 1.2 MWh of energy capacity, will be integrated with Solar and Wind power and validated extensively to show that it can store energy efficiently and safely for use in colocated renewable applications.
